Stacie and Carlo, who are Korean and Filipino-Chinese respectively, asked for a grand yet playful and welcoming invitation, incorporating cherry blossoms and using shades of green and pink. A wreath of cherry blossoms borders the main invitation, and is repeated on the rest of the suite.
Because the suite had many enclosures (including a card detailing activities for very young guests), everything was housed in a pocket folder. The inside of the pocket folder was printed in pink, and a cherry blossom pattern debossed onto the flap; the same pattern was applied to the envelope lining. To avoid the invitation looking too busy, I specified blind debossing on the borders of the enclosure cards, and copper foil stamping to maintain the softness of the color palette.
Details:
• 5-piece pocket folder invitation (English and Chinese invitations, entourage, RSVP details, note for children’s activities); lined envelope
• Day of materials (not shown): table assignment card, missalette
Finishing
Die cutting, thermography, debossing, copper foil stamping
