Ada and Ray met and fell in love while attending university in Australia. They wanted a Save the Date card and a pocket folder invitation that reflected their cultures—Filipino and Sri Lankan, respectively.
The monogram and the ornamental border on the invitation card are inspired by Spanish colonial Philippine architecture; majority of the graphics, including the die cut flap of the pocket folder and peacock monogram, are a nod to Ray’s Sri Lankan heritage. Gold foil adds a sophisticated contrast to the deep wine red of the invitation. The design elements were applied to their reception materials.
